Writing coaching is personalized guidance that helps writers break through creative blocks, develop their craft, and complete their projects. Unlike editing (which focuses on fixing finished work) or teaching (which follows a curriculum), coaching meets you exactly where you are in your writing journey.
As your writing coach, I work alongside you to identify what's stopping your progress—whether that's plotting challenges, character development issues, motivation issues, or simply not knowing what comes next. Together, we create actionable strategies tailored to your specific project, writing style, and goals.
Starter Package
Starter Package
Best for: Writers just starting out or those wanting accountability and direction.
$100 a month/ 2 sessions
Session Focus:
- Goal-setting and project planning
- Discussing writing craft basics
- Troubleshooting specific story problems
- Providing encouragement and accountability
What's Included:
- 2x 50-minute sessions per month (bi-weekly)
- Review up to 10 pages per session
- Email support: responses within 48 hours, limited to session-related questions
- No manuscript review between sessions
What's NOT Included:
- Detailed line-by-line editing
- Reading full chapters between sessions
- Multiple rounds of revision feedback
Core Package
Core Package
Fee: $300/4 sessions*
Best for: Writers working on a specific project (novel, short stories, collections)
Session Focus:
- Deeper manuscript development and revision
- Character, plot, structure analysis
- Genre-specific guidance
What's Included:
- 4x 50-minute sessions - Dates TBD*
- Review up to 20 pages per session
- Written feedback on submitted pages ( overall summary with key points and next stepts)
- Email support: responses within 24-48 hours for writing questions and brief feedback
Between Sessions:
- Quick answers to specific craft questions
- Resource recommendations (articles, books, examples)
What's NOT Included:
- Comprehensive developmental editing
- Rewriting or ghostwriting
- Query letter/agent submission coaching (can be added for extra fee)
*Meeting every 2 or 3 weeks.
Single Manuscript Feedback Session
Manuscript Review
Fee: $3 per page or $80 minimum
Best for: Writers who have a completed draft and desire feedback before beginning revisions.
What's Included:
- Comprehensive manuscript feedback and revision planning
- Publication preparation (if applicable)
- 1-50-minute review session
What's NOT Included:
- Professional line editing services (this is coaching, not editing)
- Ghostwriting or co-writing
- Guaranteed publication or agent representation
