In-person workshops are back! These bi-weekly sessions are a great way to support your creative writing journey. Whether you're just starting out, or need to "get back to it" these workshops are for you!

I've been an AWA workshop faciltator since 2009 and love they way these workshops help writers (and nonwriters) explore their creativity and have fun doing it.

The Art of Making Things Up: an intro to fiction writing

Your story starts here in this 4-week creative writing class. You will learn and practice the basic elements of fiction writing, get helpful feedback on your work, and learn how to turn your ideas into stories everyone wants to read. Learn how to get those story ideas out of your head and on the page! For ages 18+.

Finally Write That Novel! A weekend jump start.

Got a novel idea but don't know where to start?

In this two-Saturday workshop, you'll get the support you need to start writing. You’ll learn about strong beginnings, character development, plot, and how to push through when you get stuck. You'll also explore publishing options and next steps to keep you writing. Come with an idea; leave with a plan.
